SOLSTICE

Created from recycled Christmas trees, the Solstice installation plunges the viewer into a dark, strangely familiar forest that questions the state of our myths and their paradoxes. Halfway between fairy tales and horror films, viewers experience an olfactory, sonic and luminous journey, where the various works that punctuate the route are revealed through a play of appearances and off-screen effects.

Réalisée à partir d’une récupération de sapins de noël, l’installation Solstice plonge le spectateur dans une forêt sombre et étrangement familière qui questionne l’état de nos mythes et leurs paradoxes. À mi-chemin entre contes de fées et films d’horreur, le spectateur fait l’expérience d’un parcours olfactif, sonore et lumineux, où les différentes oeuvres qui rythmes son parcours se révèlent par des jeux d’apparitions et de hors-champs.
« La lumière renaîtra-t-elle ? Pourrons-nous, «nous autres», continuer à êtres humains dans l’état sérieusement dégradé où nous sommes, ou allons-nous mourir dans l’immensité de la nuit et du froid, vers quel inconnu ? »
